HIGHLIGHTS-Podcast: The Lightness of Art

We don’t just love art. We also like to talk about it and start here with our HIGHLIGHTS-Podcast.

Our exhibitors have been specialists and connoisseurs in their respective fields for decades. And that promises deep insights into the world of art. Personal, informative, entertaining, and full of little stories, they talk to museum curators, insiders from the art insurance and digital industries, and collectors and art journalists. For example, about the invention of expressionism, digital art experiences, zeitgeist and upheavals in fashion photography, and anything else we think is worth listening to.

The talks were produced by Claudia Linzel. Under the label “DIE LEICHTIGKEIT DER KUNST” she currently runs the most successful art podcast in Germany. You can listen to it at www.dieleichtigkeitderkunst.de and on all audio providers from spotify to tunein.

Selected Insights

WITH LUDORFF

In our second episode of “Selected Insights”, our host Claudia Linzel talks to Manuel Ludorff, who has been the second generation to run the renowned Galerie Ludorff in Düsseldorf since 2009. Founded in 1975, the gallery is internationally renowned for a consistent programme of high quality: works of German Impressionism, Expressionism and Classical Modernism from the gallery’s founding collection. Today, the collection of post-war art and the presentation of selected contemporary positions are equally important.

EPISODE 3

In the next episode “Arts and Crafts in New Clothes” we turn our gaze to the special objects of the 17th and 18th centuries – a time full of opulent treasures and magnificent ornamentation. And along the way, Dr. Frank Matthias Kammel, General Director of the Bavarian National Museum, and Christian Eduard Franke-Landwers, renowned antiques dealer from Bamberg as well as Co-Managing Director of HIGHLIGHTS Munich, will tell us how to go from connoisseur to renowned art dealer and from the Zwicker Mulde to the Eisbach Welle.

Selected Insights

In the second episode “No need to worry”, Dr Alexander Wiebe, Managing Director of HDI’s art&lifestyle, and Johannes Mallinckrodt, founder and CEO of the digital company COLLECTO, talk about the safe handling of art and the sense of digital collection organisation. But above all, it’s about two strong movers and shakers in the scene who tend to operate in the background.

EPISODE 1

WITH DR. ALEXANDER KUNKEL AND JUANA SCHWAN
