Drawing Room Hamburg

The two art historians Esther and Alexander Sairally established the Drawing Room in Hamburg in March 2014. The gallery’s programme focuses on artistic practices referencing conceptual art and minimalism, showing national and international emerging artists (Asana Fujikawa, Christian Haake, Johanna Jaeger, Maya Schweizer, or Jenni Tischer) and as well as mid-career and established artists (Katharina Hinsberg, Mariella Mosler, Anke Röhrscheid, Nora Schattauer and Hayley Tompkins). Visitors are encouraged to have an intensive encounter with current artistic positions from a wide range of genres aided by regular exhibition introductions and artist’s talks by museum experts, curators and art critics, with a particular focus on the medium of works on paper.
