August Laube is a specialist antiquarian book and art dealer, founded in Zurich in 1922 and now run by the third generation of the family. For more than a century, we have stood for quality, authenticity and careful selection. We present works of particular artistic and cultural-historical significance, thereby continuing the tradition established by previous generations of our firm.

We specialise in works by the Old Masters and Classical Modernism. Our collection comprises prints, drawings and selected paintings that reflect the development of artistic expression across various eras. In addition, we offer a selection of rare books of high craftsmanship and historical significance.

We carefully examine every work of art and every book from both an art-historical and a material perspective. In doing so, we pay particular attention to provenance, authenticity and condition. We take the time to research each item thoroughly so that our clients can make their purchases on a sound basis and with confidence.

Our premises are situated on Kirchgasse in the historic centre of Zurich, just a few steps from the Grossmünster. Here, we offer a peaceful and welcoming setting in which to view our works in person and discuss art and individual collecting interests with us.
